In the Gulf of Nicoya, there are places where nature, art, and creativity exist in harmony. Punta Eternia is one of those places.
Nestled between the tropical dry forest and the calm waters of the gulf, Punta Eternia is building a unique vision: a place where art and nature come together to create authentic and inspiring experiences.
The vision behind Punta Eternia goes far beyond a traditional tourist destination. The project aims to create a sculpture park immersed in nature, where each artwork interacts with the landscape and where artists can leave part of their essence connected to the environment.
Trails surrounded by native trees, forest sounds, ocean views, and sculptures naturally integrated into the landscape create an experience that invites visitors to walk, observe, and feel.
Beyond promoting art, Punta Eternia also seeks to highlight and support local artistic talent from Paquera, alongside nationally recognized artists inspired by this unique setting.
The Value of Local Talent: Tairon Silva Espinoza
One of the artworks that forms part of this vision is CONEXIÓN, created by Paquera-based self-taught sculptor and artist Tairon Silva Espinoza.
His work conveys something deeply human: the connection between people, nature, and the elements around us. Through his creativity and artistic sensitivity, Tairon expresses emotions and reflections that go beyond the physical world.
The presence of local artists like Tairon Silva Espinoza gives Punta Eternia a unique identity. It is not only about exhibiting art, but also about creating opportunities for talent born within local communities to have a visible and valued space.
The Artistic Legacy of Daniel Guido Villalobos
Another very special moment for Punta Eternia has been the opportunity to share and learn alongside renowned Costa Rican sculptor Daniel Guido Villalobos, whose work is also part of this growing project.
“We had the great honor of sharing, learning, and now having artwork by this great national sculptor Daniel Guido Villalobos. At Punta Eternia, we are excited to be creating a sculpture park immersed in the tropical dry forest that will become a showcase where artists can leave part of their essence and share it with the world.”
The incorporation of sculptural art within a natural environment creates a unique experience for visitors. It is not simply about observing a piece of art, but discovering it while walking among trees, listening to birds, and feeling the energy of the landscape.
Daniel Guido Villalobos’ work brings identity, strength, and artistic sensitivity to this vision that continues to grow between forest, art, and sea.
Art and Sustainable Tourism with Identity
Punta Eternia represents a new way of experiencing sustainable tourism: an experience where visitors discover not only landscapes and biodiversity, but also art, culture, and local identity.
Every sculpture, trail, and corner reminds us that the connection between nature and creativity has always existed. Supporting local art is also a way of strengthening the community and preserving the authentic essence of the region.
At Punta Eternia, the forest does not only protect wildlife… it also inspires art.
