Paquera Brilla 2025: A Night of Community, Light, and Joy

On Saturday, December 6, the community of Paquera came together with great joy and enthusiasm to celebrate a new edition of the Paquera Brilla 2025 Festival — an evening filled with lights, music, and Christmas spirit.

Our Association ADEJ was proud to participate with a beautifully decorated Christmas float, created with dedication and care for the enjoyment of the entire community. This achievement was made possible thanks to the support and collaboration of many individuals and organizations who believe in the importance of working together for Paquera.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who helped make this participation possible: Unión Zonal Paquera, Hotel Isla Chiquita Glamping, Acueducto Paquera, Ileana Sandoval Lemaire, the members of the Float Committee (Jenny and Liutan), Mr. Tony Viales for generously providing the truck, the members of our Association’s Board, and of course, the girls who rode on the float, filling it with smiles and joy.

The evening was made even more special by the participation of the Escuela de Arte Paquera, which proudly debuted its Marching Band. In partnership with our Association, they marched alongside us, contributing their music and talent to delight the audience and bring even more life to the Festival. It was a very moving moment that highlighted the incredible artistic and cultural potential of our community.

Paquera Brilla is more than just a festival of lights; it is a true reflection of the strong community spirit that defines Paquera. Events like this strengthen community bonds, celebrate local talent, and keep our traditions alive.

December is a particularly special time to visit Paquera, Costa Rica. Between community celebrations, warm tropical nights, festive lights, and the natural beauty of the area, visitors can experience a different kind of Christmas — authentic, welcoming, and full of pura vida.
